10 Steps Oil Change Process

Time: 2022-09-16

Efficient and timely replacement of lubricating oil is a very important part of daily maintenance of air compressor.
Strictly abide by the recommended service cycle of the lubricating oil of the air compressor, and appropriately shorten the oil change cycle according to the actual working conditions on site. If it is necessary to extend the oil change cycle, send samples for testing. Strictly follow the lubricating oil change process of the air compressor, drain the old oil as much as possible, and prevent the new oil from being polluted and causing unnecessary problems. Relevant spare parts, including air filter and oil filter, must be replaced at the same time as the oil is replaced.

1.Before the maintenance of the air compressor, it is necessary to prepare the required tools.

2. Site preparation
Shutdown waiting: record all indicators before shutdown, and change oil after the equipment cools down.
Equipment shell cleaning: thoroughly clean and wipe the dust and oil stain on the equipment shell to prevent contamination of new oil during oil change.
Environmental cleaning: clean the equipment site to ensure that the site is clean and free of oil pollution, which not only eliminates the potential safety hazards of sliding, but also prevents oil pollution.

3. Empty the old oil in the oil and gas tank

4. Vent residual oil of oil cooler
Open the drain valve of the cooler and the connecting pipe when the engine is hot as much as possible. Prepare containers for receiving waste oil, and try to avoid environmental pollution caused by oil leakage.

5. Vent the residual oil in the air end and pipeline

6. Remove the three filters
Remove the oil separator pipeline, open the oil-gas separator and take out the oil separator core. Remove the old oil filter. Replace the old air filter element and clean the air filter.

7. Clean the inner wall of oil separator

8. Reassemble all pipes and spare parts

9. Add new oil
Use special refueling tools (pumps and pipes) for refueling to avoid new oil pollution. After the oil-gas separation tank is filled up, confirm the operation and make sure that the oil level of the machine is at the position shown in the figure during operation. It is recommended to add some new oil to the head before starting the machine and turn it manually to ensure that the air end is fully lubricated after the equipment is started.

10. Test run
Start the equipment and check whether the pipeline leaks. If so, stop the machine immediately for inspection and repair. Check whether all pipelines and spare parts are installed in place. It is recommended to use the inspection card to list all inspection items and tick them one by one for confirmation. Half an hour after startup, record all operating parameters.
